Description
First aid is an integral part of workplace safety. The Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 require all employers to plan to ensure their employees receive immediate attention if they are injured or taken ill at work. This includes appointing a suitable amount of first aiders and providing appropriate first aid training.
This regulated and nationally recognised qualification, specifically designed for those who are appointed to act as a first aider in their workplace. It is also ideal for people who have a specific responsibility to provide first aid in voluntary and community activities.
Over a 3 day period, learners will develop the skills and knowledge needed to deal with a range of first aid situations, including: assessing an incident, managing an unresponsive casualty, CPR, heart attacks, choking, head and spinal injuries, fractures, anaphylaxis and more.
Identification
All delegates must produce I.D in the form of a new type driving license, UK Passport. If it is an oversea passport evidence to ensure delegates meet with eligibility to reside and work within the UK e.g. residency card. Photocopies and Photos of IDs on smart phone devices are not accepted.
PPE
No PPE is required to attend this course.
Prerequisites
Delegates must be at least 16 years of age.
Delegates must be able to converse adequately with the spoken and written English language to make emergency phone calls, read examination paper and recite phonetic alphabet.
